Army Years, Part 1 (1993-1994)

Here are some images from my first year on the Left Coast. I took a very memorable trip down the Skagit river in northwestern Washington through an eagle sanctuary. We saw almost 30 bald eagles along the river (and that was a weak showing). I also took a few trips up to British Columbia to visit Vancouver (what a city, what a trip!). In February, I took a trip down to California with an Army friend from Berkeley (Berzerkeley). I had a blast exploring San Fran and the Bay Area. My first Left Coast Grateful Dead show lead straight into my trip to Korea (June 1994 to July 1994). I spent a month in Seoul. It was hot and muggy; but, a real good time for this GI. I took a quick trip to "Music City, Texas Style" (aka Austin, TX) in October to visit a gal. I soaked up a week of Texas football (lost to Colorado) and University of Texas study (or something like that). In November, I got orders for my 1st trip to Thailand. We spent a week in Bangkok. Another world. I spent my 25th Birthday in Bangkok, Thailand. Got on the airplane and flew back to Seattle where it was still my 25th Birthday at 12pm!!! Young and restless...
